Our Heritage
Rooted in 39 Years of Tawnyoak Excellence
Braecrest is the continuation of the legendary Tawnyoak kennel — one of Australia's most respected Irish Terrier establishments, run by Pamela Gerrey in Wirrimah, NSW for nearly four decades. Tawnyoak and Braecrest are one and the same — a change of prefix only, not of people, dogs, or dedication.
Over those 39 years, Tawnyoak earned a reputation admired across Australia and internationally — with owners describing Pam as "one of the best breeders of Irish in Australia." That same standard continues at Braecrest.
Carefully selected bloodlines from Sweden, Russia, Ireland, Hungary, and New Zealand have been woven into the breeding programme to ensure genetic strength and breed excellence for generations to come.
